About Me

Advanced Degrees and Experience

At the University of Florida, I study history with a minor in art history. I then pursued a Museum Studies degree from New York University, graduating May 2023.

I've been fortunate to partake in programs that have aided in putting the histories of often overlooked individuals at the forefront through my work at the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program, Matheson History Museum,  HistoryMiami Museum, Tenement Museum, and more.

My Passions

After looking into international studies, history, and art programs during my freshman year of college, I had quickly realized that my favorite moments, memories and experiences resided in museums that celebrate both history and art.

Since then, I have been dedicated to understanding the mechanics and artistry that comes into organizing and running these museums and galleries through firsthand work and maximum exposure to museums across the globe.

My Culture

Being raised in Miami has shaped a lot of who I am, especially spending my childhood with my grandparents,  Cuban immigrants who brought my mother and aunt to America in 1971. I didn't learn Spanish in class as much as in life, through growing up in a Spanish speaking household and living in a city filled with Latino immigrants.
